I get a message saying that my catalog is corrupt- I've searched for the location but so far I have not been able to locate the catalog. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software w/o solving the problem. I'm using an iMac running OS X Yosemite 10.10.4

Thanks for any help which you can provide as I'm really frustrated!

In all Elements versions, you get the location of a catalog folder by looking in the help menu, section 'System Info'.
Since your organizer crashes at launch, you have to start it differently.
Keep the shift key pressed while you launch the organizer. You'll get different options.
Try the option to repair, and see if that helps.
If not, choose the option to open a new catalog or to open an existing one. Then look at the location of the current folder. Each catalog is a folder under a master folder. This should show you the corrupt catalog.
There is not much you can do directly when you have found the corrupt catalog.
Do you have recent backups made from the organizer?

Michel, than you so very much for the help- I never ever would have figured this out on my own. Since I was just beginning to use Elements, I had not created any backups, but I will now that I've been able to restart learning Elements thanks to your help.
