Photoshop Elements: Copying Feature Crashes/Face Tagging Quit/RAW Time "Distorts"

I have three problems with PSE9 Windows Version... all have been previously reported.
1. I can only make one CD/DVD copy. The second CD freezes PSE9 and my computer. I have to close PSE9 then reopen each time I want to make another CD. I just saw a posting saying if I don't verify the disk it will keep going, I have not verified this though..... and should not have to.
2. Facial Recognition no longer works. It goes thru all the steps and then says there are no new faces. This happens with newly imported and pictures already in my computer. In addition if I try to manually tag a person, PSE9 no longer makes any guesses I have to type the entire name of each person each time.
3. The RAW files imported go thru some sort of "time distortion". The time stamp doesn't match the time actually taken.... the time on the SD card. JPG's seem to be fine.

I realize new features in software sometimes means "bugs". I don't understand why there aren't any updates to fix these known problems. I have had PSE4,6,8 and now 9. I have taken several classes thru my local community college and have spent a lot of time and money on books on this software. I now questioning whether I have spent my time and money as wisely as I thought.

I haven't taken the time to give you every specific about the three major problems I am experiencing. It doesn't seem worth the effort as these are known issues based on what I've read in various forums. Known issues ignored by Adobe..... NO updates to correct and NO mention of fixes in the new PSE10.

I AM SO VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH PSE9..... It feels as though Adobe expects us to just spend more money (buy the next version) to fix their errors (bugs). This is unbelievable though.
