Why cant I use the Control or Command C option in Adobe Bridge CS6 to copy information between files in the IPTC data. This is crucial to my workflow to enable me to key word and caption my images. Please can you add it to Bridge CS6 ASAP

I have the same problem. I already reported this bug to Adobe more than one month ago (in the Photoshop Beta Phase).

Adobe said they will into it. To be honest, I really can't understand, why they did not correct the bug in the final (test) version ... such a basic function should just work.

Funny thing is, that copy paste works, when you open file info of in Photoshop CS6 instead in Bridge CS6 ...

here is the original message:

and here another thread:
http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

I am a bit disappointed about he whole situation and don't think Adobe will provide a solution soon ...

let's hope for the best ...

Just updated (Bridge 5.0.2.4) and it seems like this was fixed. Also, using Metadata view and editing fields in Metadata panel works as an efficient way to copy/paste/update the data.

I'm not sure that's what Ashley was referring too. I understood it as why can't we copy/paste metadata from one image to a group of selected images as we can with the Develop Settings? I have removed older CS apps so can't test it in an older version of Bridge, but don't recall it working there either.

Come on, if Aperture can do it... Aperture even gives you control over which fields you paste in, similarly to how Adobe Bridge does it when pasting in the Develop Settings.

It's either a huge oversight or Adobe just doesn't get it the need for it. I am working with tens of thousands of images. Yes, I can select a group of images and input it using the metadata panel as stated, but when I need to add the exact same metadata to one or another group of files, I can't just copy all the metadata from one of the previously edited files and paste it onto another selection of files, I have to use copy/paste for each field in the metadata panel. Not very efficient...

I know that there was an issue with copy/paste within the fields in the metadata panel, thankfully that was fixed.
