previously using PS 5 on macbook pro. been using photoshop for 10-15 years. can no longer copy paste by key commands. so now must have documents side by side to drag images, layers, etc. was just told that what i have been doing for these many years, was never a feature of photoshop? really?

Howdy Jeanne,

Nothing has changed on the Photoshop side with respect to Cut/Copy/Paste.  You might want to check your keyboard layout and/or hardware.  Do CMD+C and CMD+P work in other applications?  If they do, have you checked your customized Keyboard Shortcuts in Photoshop?  You can always reset them by going to (on Mac) Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts and under Set, choose Photoshop Defaults.

If none of these suggestions help, ping me here and we can do a web-hosted screenshare to troubleshoot what's going on for you.

Thanks,
David

Howdy Jeanne,

I'd like to propose a web-hosted screenshare in order to get to the bottom of the problem you're experiencing.  I haven't heard of other users with this problem and I cannot reproduce it, so I believe there is a missing element triggering it.  I'll send you an email.

Thanks,
David
