It would be nice to have option convert DNG/RAW to JPEG in LR CC as archiving process. I would like to apply this on photos, which I no longer need it as RAW. JPEG with edits is enough for archiving purposes. I know, it will goes against LR CC Cloud monthly fees policy, however in real, I do not need all the raws.

This will be great when you shoot raw and dont want to pay for you dont need to (2TB RAWs for example)

Hard work around is of course there: export JPEGs, delete RAWs, import JPEGs, recreate Collections. But this is unreal.

Thank You

All the best

Tomas

I would strongly advice against deleting raw files. That is like throwing away your negatives after you've made a print. You may think that you don't need your raw files anymore, but technology improves over time. Some future version of Lightroom may have such improved noise reduction or other new technology, that you may want to redo those old images again that right now you think are perfect. I've seen this in the past, and it will happen again in the future.

Yeah you are right. Someone advices me to delete all RAWs after you deliver all the work to the client. I don't want to do such a drastic thing, converting to JPEG look less destructive. It is individual. For example I don't want to delete any wedding image from my archive, but I do not need it have in RAW, the majority images this type has very little value for me.
