Convert photos into paintings

For many years I have turned photos into Paintings. Many people have asked me if I could teach them how to do that. Their numbers are great and their interest is great but their talent is usually is not so great. What they want is an easy way to turn their photos into paintings, with little effort or artistic knowledge.

Today, everybody is taking endless numbers of photos because everybody has a phone that takes photos. It occurs to me that Photoshop could get a lot of attention and make a lot of money by helping all these people turn their favorite photos into paintings.

Have some of your experts determine what new adjustments they would recommend that would help simplify and convert photos into impressive paintings or flat patterned poster art.

Combine the adjustments into categories of famous paintings styles. Allow the user to choose the combined adjustments (with just one push of a button) or use them individually.

Create a demo of your experts most successful “works of art”. Make slow motion, step by step conversions of each painting style from starting photo to finished art. The fewer the steps necessary, the better.

The demo should not only be impressive to watch, it should also help viewers select the adjustments they might prefer to use, eliminate, or subdue when they convert their photos.

Include some brief instruction of how to prepare a photo for each paintings style. Show how to combine photos. A few well chosen words of instruction would help beginners realize that they don’t need to be experts to do beautiful work.

Then run contests for users of different levels of expertise and different age levels. Show their best “paintings” in your promotions. Get their input to find out what they would like you to include in the next upgrade. Hold down the cost but keep improving the program. If you have fun with it you’ll keep making money with it.

It’s just a thought.
