CONTINUE OFFERING NON-SUBSCRIPTION VERSION: I am a fairly long time Lightroom user, having started with V-2. For some time I have been anticipating, with dread, the end of non-subscription versions. Tonight, I received a survey (registered Lightroom/Adobe user) asking to give feedback but it only included CC, mobile and web. I assumed maybe my fears had come true. I started a chat with someone at Adobe and was told there will be no further releases of non-subscription. Knowing the business world, I assume someone did the math and figured it didn't matter if there were a few or maybe even more than a few who Adobe would lose by not offering a non-subscription version. I understand business and making money but it is truly disappointing to me and I hope many others who will feel abandoned by Adobe. Maybe if there are enough like me, someone will decide there is some merit to keeping the non-subscription version as an offering. Someone judged there is no value to having a choice to satisfy a greater number of customers. I have told MANY people over the years how much I loved Lightroom. Without the option of a non-subscription version, I cannot in good conscience recommend it. Please reconsider your decision.
