Content-aware fill takes the color from the surrounding area, so this is what I would expect. What did you expect would happen?

If you just selected the kite specifically, you might have the margins too close and the borders didn't get included.
I selected rather loosely and the fill worked fine?

The Content Aware Patch Tool is much easier to use for this purpose. Tutorial here:

The question is: what did you want to do. Did you want to remove the kite completely, then indeed the content aware patch tool would be my choice. It looks like you selected the kite very tightly and on the inside perhaps, so maybe you wanted to change the color only?

Check that the Blending Mode is set to normal. If it's set to something else, you may get the result you describe.

Thanks all for spending your time here to solve my problem
Now everything got cleared, the tool is working fine

Problem was "I kept the blending mode in colour instead of normal"

Again I thank all here
