I know that Lightroom is a very good product, BUT easy of contact with Adobe is absolute rubbish and the pricing is only any good if your a millionaire . I will buy the product but NOT the cloud version . Why pay so much for something you don't own,and you, without any guarantee of security, have to give your works of intellectual intellect too for the program to work.
Not impressed with the CONcept.

You are in contact with Adobe. What is your specific issue? You can purchase the perpetual license, Lightroom 6. from here if you like:

This has been argued about so much and so irrationally that I hesitate to chime in, but I don't get the hostility towards the cloud version.

I use Photoshop & Lightroom a lot. I purchased perpetual licenses years ago, upgraded to newer versions of Photoshop occasionally and upgraded to every new version of Lightroom since 1.0. That cost big bucks over the years.

Now with the CC Photography plan, I get Ps & Lr, all the upgrades (although Lr 2015.2 was a total bust!!!), Lr Mobile, cloud services, etc. for $120/year. I'm getting more value and paying less money than before. The only bummer is that I have to "subscribe" and pay every year. Different strokes for different folks, but that concept works for me.

Btw, I'm not completely sure what you meant by "...have to give your works of intellectual intellect too for the program to work.", but if you're under the assumption that all your images are going to be stored in Adobe's cloud because you're running the "CC" versions, you're incorrect.
