Photoshop Elements 10: problems drawing dialogs and images

In Elements 10 I have no dialogue boxes for the distort functions. The programme also produces strange effects on images almost as if it is trying to produce a water colour effect. I have reloaded it twice, and reset all defaults. Any idea what is causing this? Thanks.

The dialogs could be on a second screen, or have a problem drawing due to bugs in the video card driver.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "water color effect" on images - but about the only thing that can mess up the drawing of images is a bug in the video card drivers.

I'd suggest that you update your video card drivers from the GPU makers web site (AMD, NVidia, or Intel -- not Microsoft, and not the system builder).

I suspect the video drivers as well. Determine what video card you have and go directly to the manufacturers website (nVidia or ATI/AMD) and download the latest driver. http://adobe.ly/OpenGL
