Lightroom Classic: Conflict with keyboard shortcuts for Increase Rating and ninth keyword in Keyword Set [Finnish keyboard]

With Finnish keyboard, there's a conflict with keyboard shortcuts assigned between Increase Rating and the ninth keyword in a Keyword Set.

They both use the key combination Option and 9 on Finnish keyboard – as Increase Rating is assigned to character ] which on Finnish keyboard is achieved with Option and 9, and the ninth keyword in a Keyword Set is assigned to the same combination Option and 9.

There's no way to change those keyboard shortcuts to non-conflicting ones directly in Lightroom, only workarounds via Apple macOS System Preferences (where you need to use modifier key in addition to the primary key so one-key keyboard shortcut for Increase Rating is lost and can't be used with a Finnish keyboard – not even with Keyboard Tamer as there's no setting for it).

Another option is to edit the TranslatedStrings file directly, as described here:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/custom-keyboard-shortcuts/

The relevant lines are:
"$$$/LibraryMenus/MenuShortcut/IncreaseRating=."
"$$$/AgLibrary/Menus/Keywords/IndexedShortcut/Key=Option+^1"

Thanks John. So there's a manual way of doing it. How will Keyboard Tamer and its settings conflict with me manually changing the file and adding those two files?

(Naturally this still needs to get fixed as not every users knows about this manual workaround or how to do it)

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure exactly how Keyboard Tamer writes TranslatedStrings -- it probably modifies the current contents, so any changes you previously made would be preserved. But you'd have to test.
