Computer crashes unexpectedly...

I'm using Windows 7, 64bit with an i5 processor. I've just upgraded to photoshop CC2018.

While using 'fill', 'content aware', my complete system shuts down with no crash report.

This happened previously with CC2017 and some third party plug-ins. (They are not yet installed alongside CC2018).

Is this a memory issue, or something else? How do I resolve it please...?

Assistance greatly appreciated!

Tony, a list of your system specs might be helpful. Memory installed, video card brand/model, windows/mac. Windows/video driver updates.

Hi John,

I have a 17" Samsung Laptop. Windows 7 Home Premium. SP1.
Processor is an Intel i5 cpu. M 480 @ 2.67GHz.
64 bit operating system.
Installed memory, 6Gb.
Drive C has 118Gb free space. Drive D has 403Gb free space.
Video Card is Nvidia version 327.02 GeForce GT 330M

Prior to using CC2017, I had CS4 where 1/3rd party plugins worked ok. If I revert to that now, using some plug-ins crashes the system...

Apple did a week of diagnostics on my iMac and found a bad fan and maybe sensor, replaced them.  Getting fewer crashes but still do, and sometimes just one or another app crashes (Firefox once today, finder twice, Photoshop once).  I just have to save work every few minutes as I go.
