If I create a shared album in Lightroom Web or Lightroom and use the direct URL to that shared album to enter a comment, that comment is not displayed when viewing the image in the same album when viewed navigating using the Gallery URL...

This example is done using Lightroom Web...

I choose the shared album, access this link and enter the comment...

If I then go to the Gallery and use this link, the comment doesn't appear...

I just tested this, Mike.

1. Share photo via Lightroom CC
2. Comment on Photo.
3. Use URL from Lightroom CC - comment visible
4. Use URL from http://lightroom.adobe.com sharing screen  - comment visible.

Maybe I am missing something here. Could you give me a step-by step so I can follow along?

yes, the only place I don't see the comment is when using the gallery URL... If I use the direct URL from Lightroom or from Lightroom Web, it's fine...

My steps are more like this:
  1. Share an album in Lightroom Web.
  2. Add that shared album to the gallery.
  3. Use the album URL to place a comment on a photo.
  4. Access the Gallery URL and check the same photo, no comment shows up.
  5. The reverse is also true, place a different comment on the same photo in the gallery URL.
  6. Go back to the album URL and that comment will not show up...
The important step is you have to add the shared albums to the gallery page.  The only place I have found to access this is using Lightroom Web.  Once I add an album to the gallery, it is the gallery URL I share to others...

Hope that helps...

I have a similar experience. I can make an album "public" from LR Classic. If someone use the generated URL and comment a photo, the comment shows up in LR Classic.

But if I share the same album in a gallery from Adobe Web, the comment from the LR Classic album doesn't show up there, and if someone comments a photo from an album in the gallery, the comment doesn't show up in LR Classic, nor in LR CC or in Adobe Web, but only in the LR CC app on my mobile phone. I also get a message on my mobile screen that someone has commented a photo. But there is no way to find commented photos in the LR CC mobile app. The app needs a "Recent Activity" option, otherwise it is very difficult to find the comments.
