Elements 10: Color Picker "spectrum"

Good day
My Color Picker pane (in Elements) has, for the past 10 years, always opened to show a single color ranging from a light tone at top, to a dark tone at bottom.
Now suddenly the pane shows a spectrum of colors, predominantly fading from left to right. And as a result the Color picker has become useless for selecting shades of a single color.
What on earth is going on here! I cannot get it to revert to its previous appearance.
Please help.

Check the menu on the panel, or right click on the spectrum for the list of available color ramps.

Hmm, when I first read it, I thought he was talking about the color palette, not the picker dialog.

Yeah, if he means the dialog, then he may have just changed the selected color attribute (which would change the color cube and vertical ramp).

Thanks guys, for such an easy solution!
Simply click the Hue button. I have been working with Elements for over ten years - and I am still learning!

Have a good day
