Photoshop: Color Picker integrated with Color Libraries ("only Pantone colors")

The color picker has a checkbox for "Only Web Colors", but I wish it would have a dropdown selection as well so that "Only Web Colors" is just one of the color options available along with the other color libraries Photoshop knows about. This would allow the familiar color picker interface to be used to select colors within a particular color library. It is most difficult to find the right color using the other Photoshop color library dialog that pops up when "Color Libraries..." button is pressed. The technology seems almost there to use the main color picker dialog since the color picker already uses a subset of colors when the "only web colors" checkbox is checked.

"only web colors" is outdated anyway.

But, it's not that easy. The web safe color choice just quantizes the RGB values in a very predictable way. This is easy to present in the RGB picker.

The third party color books just have a semi-random sampling of LAB, RGB, or CMYK space. You can end up with a dozen book colors that only differ by a fraction of a value in RGB. And that's not so easy to present because it's a 3 or 4 dimensional optimization problem.
