Closing path in Photoshop CC 2014 selects all points on the path - I don't want it to

Hi,

I think this was added recently, since I seem to remember it not behaving this way.

I never want to select all points on a path on closing it. Almost always I want to select a single point and adjust it. Please give us at least the option to turn this behavior off.

Thanks for listening.

God, this has been driving me absolutely insane. Please, please tell me how I can make PS stop selecting ALL points when closing a path! It also selects all points when deleting a single point along the path. There is no reason for this behavior and it has shifted entire paths out of position way too many times.

Is there any solution for this? Incredibly frustrating.
