Hello! I have a Png file with an object in the middle and a trasparent background. I need to correct a part of it, but when I use the clone tool, the new cloned part overlaps on the old (wrong) part
So at this point I have to remove the part that I wanted to change at the begin, making me working longer.
I know that Photoshop doesn't clone 0 pixel (the trasparency), but it is very difficult modifing png file.
The only thing a can do is adding a colored background and correct it, but then I have then contour it again after, making other mistakes...and so on!).

Most important: if it is impossible, could it be useful for you, in case? Just to know.

how extensive is the part you need to correct?
A duplicate layer clipping masked to a knock out-layer might be helpful.

Otherwise you could change the Transparency to a Layer Mask, turn it off and edit the Layer’s content without affecting the transparency.

Interesting suggestion.
I try it on my file, seeing if this procedure can work on it.
Can you please write me the steps to arrive here?
Thank you for now.

Anyway, this is the example of what I need to do. The selectioned part is what I don't want remain after cloning the second "pin" on the third pin.

I meant the original png, not the screenshot.
