Lightroom Classic: I wish that the Clarity tool had a masking slider like the Sharpen tool

In my photographs, I often make use of selective focus. Therefore I use the Clarity tool much in the same way as the sharpen tool; I want them to affect the focused areas, but not the out-of-focus areas, because both tools counteracts the desired smoothness in the remaining part of the image.

But unlike the sharpen effect, that can be set for the entire image and automatically be masked away with a masking value, the clarity must be manually brushed in in every image. And the adjustment brush cannot be added to a preset unless all images have the focused part in exactly the same place.

So I wish that the Clarity tool had a masking slider like the Sharpen tool. It would simplify the editing process a lot.
