Cheated into buying update by Adobe

I bought a CS 5.5 Upgrade from CS 4 because at that time Adobe told me "No more Updates from CS4 with the arrival of CS6" (they postponed this policy) So now I have to buy another update till the end of the year? (I'm behind the grace period) Big fail Adobe, I'm really pissed off.

John posted additional details about this in January. I'll have someone from customer care contact you to address your questions/concerns.

I feel cheated too! I upgraded to CS5 in November because of the policy change announcements by Adobe. I thought that if I waited until 2012, I would not be able to upgrade from CS3. Now, I find out that if I would have waited until the end of March, I would get a free upgrade to CS6! I upgraded early due to the fear that Adobe instilled in me with their announcement. If I would have not listened to the announcements, I would not have to pay for 2 upgrades to get the same product that others are getting for the price of one.

Thanks Jeffrey,

I just ended another chat session with Adobe. My case has been elevated to a higher level. The agent ended my session with the following: "This is in terms of the Adobe upgrade policy which was previously announced and hence we will look into it so that something can be done to the products purchased in the time after getting the previous message.". We shall see.

Update: Since my last chat conversation with Adobe, I have not received any emails or anything from Adobe. The only thing that has happened is that angry people in the same situation are coming out of the woodwork on the several photo forums on which I have explained my situation. It is not about the money, it is the principle of the matter.
