PHOTOSHOP - Character palette leading reads (Auto), won't display numeric leading

So, I'm trying to duplicate a text style (point size and leading) and who ever set up the original file left the leading set to auto. Now I'm trying to establish the actual leading, but there's no way to tell.

Now I have to duplicate the type layer, and experiment to see what looks right. I even tried highlighting the text and creating a new paragraph and character style from the highlighted text. No luck. It simply leaves the leading box blank.

If the leading box is blank, that means that there are two or more different values set for this value in the text selected.  You should select a run of text which demonstrates the properties you want.

If you get stuck., I can do a web-hosted screenshare to help you out.

What version of Photoshop are you using?  What Operating System?
