Photoshop: Channel Mask is masking image even when turned off

I just saw a weird bug in photoshop cc, I had a channel mask in the channels palette but it was turned off, I created multiple files with folders I created within Photoshop, all the flattened tiff's previews showed up with the mask turned, therefore all files had a masked image that wasn't suppose to be masked. I had to delete the mask and save over the old files, then it worked. Can someone tell me how to avoid this in the future, is it a preference that I am missing?

Hi Keith, I've never heard of this before. Did you have to delete the channel mask in order to save? Do yo have have a saved file that exhibits this behavior? Do you have steps to reproduce?

Yea, I deleted the channel , then reserved and everything was good. I would hate to have to do this every time, especially with files that have multiple masks.

I think I have a saved version with the channel still in tack on my system?
