Change to allow exporting EDITED RAW (i.e., with xmp) and EDITED JPG Files together

In Lightroom, I have difficulty with the way Export uses the term "export format".

If one wants to export a mixed selection of RAW and other formats (JPGs, for example), keeping their original format, it cannot be done in one export. If one now selects "JPG," all the RAW files are converted into JPG. If one selects "Original," all the RAW files are exported RAW, with accompanying xmp files (with LR edits), but the JPGs are exported as they were imported from the camera. This is inconsistent.

To me, the original FORMAT of a jpg is jpg, obviously, and the original FORMAT of a RAW file is RAW. In my mind, original format is not the same as original file or original image (i.e., unedited as it comes out of the camera.

To me, selecting Original would export all selected` files, as edited (or RAW with xmp files), and give me choices for how I want my jpgs exported (size, quality, etc.). That way, I can export all the edits in one swoop, not having to separate the RAWs and JPGs if I want to keep the RAW files RAW and the JPGs as JPGs.

I would recommend having an additional option which gives the option of exporting the original IMAGE FILES, which would not include LR edits.
