Hello.
I want to put screen toggle ability on alt+ctrl+f shortcut and so it could work the same as F because I use F shortcut for some other thing.
However i cant put toggle - only specific screen mode.

Again: I want alt+ctrl+f to work like default F shortcut, and as i press on it, it would scroll through screen modes.

can i ask why there are such restrictions like "shortcuts are SINGLE CHARACTER only" there are number other of places i saw that, and it is annoying?

Hi Yuri,
Tools only use a single character for their shortcuts. That's simply how that functionality was designed when it was implemented, though it does make sense given that these must be differentiated from application-level shortcuts where CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT already have specific uses. For certain tools, the character is restricted to A-Z while others are more flexible (I often use a German keyboard, actually, cuz I get "more" letters that way -- I'm actually typing this on my Turkish 102 keyboard). The point is, however, to make these tool shortcuts unambiguous and prevent them from colliding with other shortcut functionality.
Keyboard shortcuts follow the standing paradigm of requiring CTRL/CMD. Accelerator keys require ALT. And SHIFT is normally only used as a modifier.
