Lightroom: Certain photo exports in LR3 Pixelated

Hi. I have noticed that when I am exporting certain types of photos (for example, night photos or others dark-type shots with a lot of "crushed" blacks) from Lightroom 3 that they end up pixelated in the dark areas. If I "Save for Web" from Photoshop CS5.1 the blacks are nice and smooth.

I have triple checked my settings: both programs are set to max quality (100), sRGB colour space and set to the same size (1024px on the long side). Output sharpening is set to "standard" for screen in Lightroom and PS is set to Bicubic sharper.

I can send examples if that would help. Is there a problem with Lightroom's export algorithm?

It's not too noticeable on most shots, but on the types I have mentioned with a lot of dark areas the difference is quite noticeable (in Photoshop's favour).

Hi Erika,

Can you provide a sample file that illustrates the problem? You can upload it to dropbox.com or yousendit.com, or a similar service, and then post the link here.

Thanks,
Ben

You can see pixelating to the right of the baby's head. It seems to happen only in dark areas as previous person mentioned. Thanks!
