Photoshop CC Clone Stamp Tool - floating layer problem

I have recently upgraded to CC and it works great except for the Clone Stamp Tool, which seems to create a floating layer, that moves around with the Clone Tool.

Reading other posts, I am using a ATI Radeon HD 4550 video card, which is about three years old.
I have checked for an updated driver and the one that I am using is the most recent.

There is no time delay problem either, the layer moves lightning fast!

Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Look at the clone source palette for the settings you changed and forgot.

There is nothing like a stupid question but mine came pretty close.

Shortly after I posted my question I found what the problem was - There is a tick-box on the Clone Source Palate called "Lock Frame" ticking this solved the problem

I'm sure someone else will suffer the same problem, so maybe it wasn't such a dump question after all.

Yes, other people have been surprised by similar clone source settings (usually modified while following a tutorial or something outside their normal usage).

Is it possible to lock the frame by default?

The default is off, but it does remember the last used settings.
