Photoshop CC2015.1: Update reinstates bug that prevents using Dan Margulis PPW panel

Unfortunately, the CC2015.1 update reinstates a bug that stops Dan Margulis PPW panel from working correctly. The bug was present in the initial CC2015 release, resolved in 16.0.1 but now reinstated in 2015.1. This is a real bummer, since the PPW panel is a superb tool for photo editors. See http://www.moderncolorworkflow.com/fr... for more on the subject.

I'd need a copy of the panel or a sample script of what's broken here to fix it. Do you have a support contact or know the developer of the panel?

Hi Jeffrey, thanks! The panel can be downloaded from the page in the link of my initial post, but I can't find a support contact link. I have left a message on Dan's blog referring to this discussion, though, and hopefully he can provide a description on what exactly the bug is that he is referring to. If I find out more I'll post it here.

Update: on the "Modern Photoshop Color Workflow" site website (see first post above) the following has been announced:

"Adobe has released Photoshop 2015.1.1 to correct some, but not all, of the bugs that afflicted 2015.1. The panel still does not run properly but it is probably usable. The main remaining problems are that certain windows open on their own at unexpected times, and that the type in the various options sub-panels is now almost illegible owing to changes in the interface. "

So, the latest PS update seems to have at least improved some things. But for now, there is no description of the remaining problems in more details.

Honestly, I have no earthly idea what they're talking about when they say "windows open on their own"...

Hi Jeffrey
The bug that was in PS CC2015 (v.16.0.0) concerned the keyboard modifier keys which were not recognized and prevented to open the PPW panel's Options windows. That was solved with the release of PS CC 2015.0.1 (v 16.0.1).
The bug introduced in PS CC 2015.1 (v 16.1.0) is different and has been already submitted by Davide Barranca to Adobe .
Running a JSX which creates a Window of type ’palette’, the ’palette’ doesn't close. If the user switch to another app and then come back to PS the palette is there. Closing it manually would make no difference, it keeps appearing.

I have found a temporary workaround that I'm testing.
Could I contact you via mail?

Thanks for your time

Kind regards
Giuliana
