Lightroom Desktop: Capture date not kept when exporting

For any file I can see the correct capture date in the shown metadata in LR desktop (cloud). Then, I export it to jpeg and import it again in LR. The capture date shown is the export date. Should not this metadatum be kept?
I have tried with files coming from different cameras. I am working with MacOS.
Thanks,
Germán

Which Export option did you use? "Export (Small)" and "Export (Large)" by default include all the metadata, including the correct capture date/time. However, using the "Export...." option, the user has a variety of different options and one of these is the option to include "All Metadata" (which includes the capture date/time) or "Copyright Only" (which doesn't).

And which version of LR Desktop are you using, you need to be running 3.0 or 3.1 for these export options.

I have also experienced this weird result after exporting - Adobe should provide an option for setting up the desired export options permanently as I want a standard export procedure where all metadata of the fotos is saved. Or "All Metadata" export should be standard as most of us want to import the converted fotos into their library and expect there the date of capture to be correct.
