Catalog file name bug

I make new catalogs for each of my shoots.

And each shoot gets a catalog name in this syntax :
yyyy.mm.dd – client - title  Eg. 2017.09.05 - Apple - iPhone Packshot

But the past months Lightroom is unable to create this catalog. It stops right before the second ".". So the catalog and folder is named «2017.09».

My workaround is obviously to quit Lightroom, renaming the files manually – and relaunch. Quite annoying.

it's usually not a good idea to use .'s in your folder or filenames.

Why not just 20170905 or 170905 or 2017_09_05?

John, I tried using the catalog name you shared in the example but could not reproduce the issue mentioned by you on both Win and Mac. I verified this on L6 6.12.

Can you share system info from 'Help->System Info' menu as already requested?
