Like so many photographers I have tons of pictures that do not so see the light of day after the initial few weeks and would love to be delighted by randomly viewing hidden/overlooked gems from long ago. In my opinion having a "slide show" mode with the following options would be just the answer:

1) Chronological and random play
2) Option to not have the mobile device turn off if plugged-in
3) Ken Burns effect option
4) Ability to stop slide show on the currently displayed picture and show that particular picture in the catalog. From there a user may want to rate the picture or even delete it.
5) Somewhat related to the above, the ability to find the name and location of the original picture. If I find or rediscover a photo via the slide show (or through other means) it would be great to be able to know where the original lives.

David,

Any update on whether the above, or portion thereof, will be included in a future release of Revel?

Thanks,

Carl

As far as slide show goes it would be nice to options to include/exclude folders from displaying. Also having "smart" include options based on defined criteria (e.g. meta tags, etc.)

Though not directly related to the slide show, an additional idea would be to intelligently auto-rotate photos (e.g. facial characteristics, horizon lines, etc.) .
