Lightroom: Can't upload blurb book and my book doesn't convert to .pdf correctly

I have problems trying to upload my 224 pages large landscape book to blurb. I have been trying for days and still unsuccessful. I thought I can save the book as .pdf as upload it directly via blurb web page but then I discovered one of the page doesn't convert to .pdf correctly. It is a 2-page spread with 5 photos on it and has a quite a lengthy page caption. When I convert it to .pdf, only part of the text from the page caption appears on the .pdf version. I have made screen capture of the page, the correct one as shown in LR4 and the .pdf version with the truncated text.

Any help is appreciated.

What book size are you using? It looks like you are using columns to push the caption to the right side. Is that correct? What size and type of font are you using?

Sorry Jeff for the late reply.

The book size is "large landscape" with 224 pages. There's only one column but I used cell padding to push the caption to the right. The settings are:-

Cell padding:
Left : 1180pt
Right : 280pt

Page caption:
Offset : 49pt

Font : Calibri regular
Size : 14pt
Tracking : -5em
Baseline : 0pt
Leading : 16.8pt
Kerning : 0pt
Columns : 1
Gutter : 18pt
Paragraph : Justified

I hope the above helps and this particular page is on 220&221 (2-page spread) of the book.

Despite the error messages I got saying my upload to blurb can't be completed, I received an email from blurb today saying...

"Your book is scheduled to be removed from tomorrow. To upload your book again you will need to re-upload your Cover PDF and Pages PDF at "

So the book somehow managed to make t to blurb's server without even telling me. :-( I clicked on the link given and as I expected, the text on the above page is still truncated. :-(

So I guess I let blurb removed it and wait until when Adobe can resolve this problem with their LR4.

I have a similar problem, but when LR4 is transmitting the book, it stops and does not complete the process.

I have spent a week trying to make a PDF of my book and to UPLOAD TO BLURB. Everytime LR4 just sits there saying upload in process. Yet - the slider never moves - and it does nothing. My book was 92 pages. So, to test the problem, I just made a few page book with 2 photos on it. Nothing else - and it too will not Export to PDF or will it UPLOAD TO BLURB. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Same problem here. Very frustrated after spending countless hours preparing my book only to have it hibernate waiting for "Blurb processing". I called Adobe customer service 3 times and finally got someone who admitted they have a problem communicating with Blurb. He didn't know how long it will take to fix it, but said there would be a patch to fix it. We'll see.
