I received an invitation to share a carousel with a friend, so I downloaded and installed the app for iPad. I'm running iOS 5, and created my Adobe account using the email address I received the invitation for. After account verification, I was never prompted to view this friend's carousel. I tried sharing my carousel with this friend, and they can't view it either. They're on a Mac on Lion. We're both on 30 day free trials. Can you help?

Hi i8theapple (fun name),

If you go the Settings menu using the Gear icon in the upper right hand corner, check under the My Carousel section. Does it show that your Carousel is shared or allow you to switch to your friends carousel?

Hi David,

Both of us went to our respective settings panel and his carousel shows that it's being shared with me, and when I view my account settings panel, it does not show that it's being shared with me.

Hi i8theapple,

You should have been able to see the carousel your friend shared even without using the 30 day trial option yourself, although you would both need a subscription (trial or otherwise) to share with each other.

A couple things to confirm:
- As a test try logging out and logging back in
- Ensure you both have the green dot in the lower left showing as Connected
- Confirm your Adobe ID email addresses exactly match the ones shared from both of your Settings panels
- Did you each receive the share notifications to your respective emails?

Hi David,

Thanks for your suggestions. We both just attempted logging out & logging back in again, and that did not resolve the problem.

- Both of us show the green connected status at the bottom of the app.
- Both of us received share notification emails (yesterday) which match our adobe carousel accounts. In his case, he shared his carousel with me prior to me creating my account. ( I created my adobe account using the email address he sent the invitation to.) I shared my carousel with him after creating my account (his account already established). Neither of us can view each others respective carousels.
- Both on a trial membership.
- iPad App version 1.0.3

Hi

Just to double check, hopefully can be helpful.

Have you try to access the Setting panel more than once ? My experience that when I access the Setting panel the second time, I see the Accept vs. Reject popover panel. After i accepted it, my friend's carousel will be located in the Setting Panel lower section under "Friend's Carousel". I need to tap on it to switch focus from my own carousel to his.

Switching Carousels is all done through Setting Panel.

I tried creating and sharing a second carousel and still no luck. I accessed the settings panel many times, as did my friend.

Hello Erin,

Thanks for additional info.

I see that account, randhir@ may had taken part in our pre-release user group for Carousel. (We have an awesome pre-release group by the way)

However the pre-release builds we prepared for our pre-release group is pointing to a different backend server than the one we used for our official release. Two services are not communicate directly to each other. Therefore, please ask Randhir to recreate an account using the Carousel GM build which can be download from App store.

Your invitation should already be waiting on first launch of app, and Randhir will need to send you a new invite after new account established.

I hope this helped, and keep posting if more issues surfaced.

Thanks again for your patience and feedback.

Thomas - thanks for the help! That indeed seems to be the problem. Had another friend who created a new account share a carousel with me and it worked great!
