Lightroom: Can't select multiple images (SHFT or CTRL) after Process 2012 Update

I've noticed that selecting multiple images on the filmstrip (in Develop) or grid in Library) won't work after the images are updated to the 2012 process. You have to exit Lightroom then re-start it.

Which OS version?

I wasn't able to reproduce. Here are the steps I took - let me know how your steps are different.

1. Selected a series of Process 2010 images in Library grid
2. From the Photo menu, selected Develop Settings > Update to Current Process (2012)
3. After the update finished, deselected all images.
4. Clicked on one image in the grid, held the shift key, and clicked on a different image.

For me, all images in the range I clicked were selected.

Hi Becky,

OS is Win7 SP1 on an X64 machine with 16Gb RAM, Nvidia Q4000.

My steps are different from yours but I'm away from my office right now. I'll document them here when I get back later today.
