Photoshop CS6: vector shape icons cover fill thumbnails

This feature I believe is a bug. If I have a solid color fill layer, gradient or pattern fill layer, in the layers panel I am unable to see the layers fill icon next to the vector mask icon. It kind of shows sometimes depending on the shape of the vector mask. If the shape is long and horizontal I am able to see some of the layer icon fills visual representation under the vector mask icon in the layers panel.

I understand the new behavior to option drag or command option drag vector masks from one layer to another. I wish it stayed the same as CS5. It's really a problem when working with many different color fill layers with square vector mask. CS6 gives no visual representation of the fill color in the layers panel. Same with gradient and pattern fill layers.

Please restores CS5's behavior or an option in the Layers panel fly out menu in Panel Options to see these special fill layer's fill, vector and raster mask as separate icons within the panel. Then I would be to see what is in the layers once again.
