cant open LR, asks for a serial #, but just paid new membership 5 days ago?

just joined the cc membership, LR isnt working. It won't open, it says I need a serial # to register it. in My CC I can see it is up to date.

There are two different LR programs, one licensed with a serial number and one licensed by logging into CC. If you are being asked for a serial number you are running the non-CC version of LR.

You need to uninstall the non-CC LR trial that is asking for a serial number.

Then log out of your CC Desktop app, using its Preferences / Account area.

Then reboot, and log back into the CC Desktop app. At this point LR CC should be in the list to Install.
