PHOTOSHOP: Can't modify all keyboard shortcuts

Photoshop uses option/alt-[ and option/alt-] to move up and down the layers list.

I'd like to change those shortcuts because they are a problem with my Intuos tablet. I have the left-hand tablet buttons mapped to Option, [, ], and Cmd-Z which makes retouching MUCH faster. However, I sometimes accidentally press two buttons at once, either option-[ or option-]. This moves me out of the current layer or throws up an error dialog in one-layer files.

Unfortunately, I don't find a way to access and change this shortcut. Its not available through the standard Keyboard Shortcuts feature.

Any ideas? I've had this problem through multiple versions of Photoshop, since I got my Intuos in 2006.

I think your observation is valid.
I use a non-English keyboard, so some of the default keyboard shortcuts are unavailable and I have found no way to change them.

I think there was at least one Feature Request on this, but unfortunately I can’t locate it – there are just so many threads that concern keyboard shortcuts in one way or another.
