Photoshop: Can't Liquify Layer Mask content while Vector Mask is also attached

Further more, when Liquify Filter is launched in attempt to mofify the layer mask, the original content of the Layer Mask is simply replaced by the content of a Vector Mask! The 'work-around' is to remove the Vector Mask before attempting to use the Liquify Filter on a Layer mask.

Is this a known bug?

Hi Roman,

Interesting. That's not what I'd expect either. I'm not a Liquify expert, so it may be 'as designed.' We'll definitely look into it.

I tested in an older (CS3) version, and indeed, even with a vector mask unlinked and disabled, and with only the layer mask targeted, the vector mask boundaries will REPLACE the layer mask's contents in and after using Liquify. I wonder if it is as designed, as it is not what I would expect. Excellent Catch, Roman!

Furthermore, the Vector Mask takes a precedence even with Liquify Filter attempted to a Layer Mask via selection!
