Lightroom 4.1: "buy" link in startup screen is broken (MacOS)

The "Buy" link within the startup screen of Lightroom doesn't work! it's a broken link that fails. It takes me to my browser, but then the Adobe site says 404 not found. Talk about a sure-fire way to lose customers! I'm running 4.1 Lightroom on MacOS, a trial version I downloaded.

On Photoshop Lightroom 4 tryout, when the try period expires, clicking the [Buy] button goes to a non-existing page (HTTP code 404).

Not a big problem (you can get there via the main page) but it's not OK.

I have been trying to download a trial version of Lightroom 4 from your (fouled-up as usual) website for several hours. Clicking on download does absolutely nothing, and YES, I AM signed into my Adobe account.
Apparently the link on that Lightroom download page is either broken or non-existent. Adobe and HP seem to have a great deal in common - they both offer absurdly over-priced products and they both employ useless webmasters.

I'll take this as a sign that Lightroom is probably just another crappy Adobe product and forget about it altogether. It certainly won't be the first time Adobe has failed me.

Try to temporarily deactivate all plugins in your browser, at least plugins for ad blocking or script blocking. These tend to block the download button, even if the Adobe website is unblocked in the plugin(s).

I had the same problem the with Photohop download in firefox with NoScript and AdBlockPlus plugins. Download was possible once both were deacivated.

P.S. Why was this merged? I think this is a different problem?

The "buy" button link from within Lightroom 4 is broken. Since people who are clicking on this want to GIVE ADOBE MONEY, it would be worth their while to facilitate this process! Where is the link to just buy the serial number? I cannot find it on the Adobe site or by using a web search. I don't want to re-download LR, I just want to buy a serial number.

Andrew, I need some more specifics from you. When you click the Buy button, do you get taken to a web page? Or see an error message? Which version of Lightroom are you using (4.0, 4.1, 4.2?)

I just tried this and the buy button worked as expected for me, so I'm trying to understand what you're seeing.

Thanks,
Becky

Becky - I was all set to take a screen shot of the web page with the error message, but the link now works! BTW, I am using LR 4.2. It looks like the Adobe web team has resolved this issue. Thanks!

If anyone is interested, here is the link the "buy" button brings me to:
