Can't upgrade from PSE 11 to PSE 15.  Tried everything I can over several hours of 3 days.  Asked for a refund.  I will try to reinstall if someone knows the answer.

When you say you can't upgrade, is your prior serial # for Elements 11 not working to activate Elements 15?

Or your catalog from Elements 11 is having trouble upgrading to Elements 15?

I think the problem is this: She is trying to upgrade from PSE 11 for a Mac to a Windows based PSE 15.  And, she needs more memory, as her PSE 11 required 2 gigs of memory, while PSE 15 requires 4 gigs of memory.  Also, she probably has a multicore processor which was perfect for  PSE 11, but she needs a 1.6 gig processor with SSE2 support for PSE 15.  If she does not have a i3 PC processor for Windows, then she has the wrong computer.  If she would like to upgrade to PSE 15, upgrading to (new) PC might be what's needed for this PSE upgrade.  Hope this helps.

It's funny...all I wanted to do is get an upgrade to my on1 program but it isn't compatible with PSE 11. It has to be PSE 13, 14, 15. Ugh!

Hi Hilma,

Sorry for the trouble here. Could you give us details of your system? E.g. what's the OS and what is error you are getting while installing the software?

Regrads,
Sandeep

Would there be any connection to the problem I have in PSE as follows...  If I ignore the warning/message, I have to hit the icon 2-3 times and it finally opens.  If this is a likely error, how do I fix it?

This look like it's trying to load OnOne software. Try holding down the shift key when you launch Elements and click [Yes] when it asks if you want to skip loading 3rd party plug-ins. Does it launch normally?

I'm surprised everyone has ignored my comment, above.  As a Microsoft Certified Software Engineer, I can sincerely tell you that the error-number she shows is a memory-page-frame number.  She has a memory problem on her computer.  The other problem is this:  HIlma, you are missing a .dll file that can run the program.  The .dll file comes from the application itself. Reinstalling might recover the .dll file and allow the program to operate.  Hilma, either reinstall the program and hope it operates on the 2 gigs of memory you have, or buy a newer computer with 4 gigs of memory which is required for your program to run without errors .  I am a certified tech and that is my final recommendation.

And frankly, I am getting tired of people mentioning, Organizer, "serial number" and Catalog-whatever.  You don't need an installation key ("serial#").  You need a newer computer and with more memory and a newer PSE-14 or PSE-15. PSE-11 is old.  I spent 8 years in a University to get to an MCSE Instructor-Level-4.  HIlma, you can take your pick:  the guys who keep talking about "serial#" and "catalog" or you can listen to my professional advice.  On what you have described, you need another computer that can do the job better.

Hilma,
From PSE11, you can run the menu Help >> System Information, use the 'copy' button and paste the text in your answer. That will give all necessary information to Steve.

You guys have been smart enough to throw serial numbers and catalogs from the Organizer at her. I'm out of here.  Moving on.  She needs a reinstall and get her PC serviced.  The page frame number may indicate her memory module could be ajar from the board.  This happens often.  There is no set screw holding it in.  She needs to have everything checked.  A .dll link is never misplaced unless the memory is losing it and the memory is my vote.  Find more things to toss at her.   See ya!
