Lightroom Mobile: Can't sign in on more than one device

I have an Android smartphone (Sony Z3 Compact) and iOS tablet (iPad mini 2), which both have LR mobile installed.

However when I sign into one, the other signs out. I can't have both signed in at the same time.

My use-case is that these devices are for different things:
- My smartphone is for sending a photo from LR mobile to someone via whatsapp, viber or facebook. When travelling, I also edit photos in LR mobile that I've imported from either the smartphone's camera album or my Olympus EM5 II connected via OTG USB.
- My tablet is for reviewing photos, culling and making edits on the larger screen.

I've resorted to just using LR mobile on my smartphone because I'm sick of signing in and out between the devices.

(My Macbook Pro stays signed in fine these days, much better than it used to in older LR CC releases.)

Can LR mobile please support 2 mobile devices?

I am not able to duplicate what you are seeing Aidan. I am currently signed into 2 iPads, an iPhone and an Android tablet and don't have to sign in more than once or twice a month on any device.
There is no imposed limit on the number of devices - only the number of desktop computers...
Are you seeing this behavior on both your Android and your iOS device-or just one of them?

Thanks, I saw the behaviour on both. Neither can be signed in at the same time as the other.

When I am asked to re-sign in, the previous collections appear, so the app data remains but the login is invalidated if the other device has signed in.

Hi Aidan,

please let us know which Android version and iOS version you are using.
Are you being logged out when travelling or also e.g. at a wifi network at home?

It would also help to know when you logged in.

Android MM 6.0.1 rooted and iOS 10

100% sure it's happened while on the wifi at home, and 80% sure it's happened while travelling.

Actually, it is happening again - this time my Macbook Pro was signed out and I'm prompted to sign in again through LR.

It is a Macbook Pro 15" mid-2014 retina, macOS 10.12, LR CC 2015.7.

Hi Aiden,
We are not able to see the issue at our end. Could you please share some more information related to the issue

1) were you earlier able to sign in on both the devices, if yes, since when are you facing the issue?
2) Are the changes made on one device visible on other devices, including macbook
3) how many y photos do you have in your account?
We wil try to see why this can be happening.

1) No, I've never been able to sign in on more than one mobile device
2) Yes all changes seem to sync fine. Only once have I had to uninstall the app and reinstall, and that was after I had left the iPad unlogged in for about 6 weeks and there were 4000+ changes which it didn't cope with.
3) Varies, from 200 - 4000 depending on if I'm travelling. I have 30k or so in my LR catalog on the Mac.

Hi all, thanks for so many responses. I'm using a Z3 Compact running MM 6.0.1 which is rooted and an iPad with the latest iOS10 release. I've seen the same behaviour on previous iOS9.

I've just changed phones to a Samsung S7 so will see if that has the same issue and comment back today.

If it is the same problem I will log what times I sign in.

Hi everyone, seems like it's not an issue anymore now I'm using the Samsung S7. Perhaps it was a bug in the old Sony? Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I've tested this thoroughly making changes on my Mac, iPad Mini and S7 and haven't been prompted to re-sign in at all.

So ... great! It works :)
