Photoshop CC 2015: Can't select multiple not adjacent shape layers (wacom issue)

When trying to select layers which are not next to each other, one would use command/ctrl + click. This DOESN'T work now for SHAPE LAYERS. It does work for other layers/folders.This is REALLY and HIGHLY annoying, please fix ASAP!(Adobe CC 2015, latest PS version updated a week ago)

Can't select shape layers (more than one) when using wacom pen. What's funny - it works when using mouse...

If the problem only happens with a wacom tablet, then that means the problem is something with the wacom driver. Check your settings in the driver, and if you can't find a cause there, contact Wacom support.

The same wacom works well with CS6 though (on the same machine). It also worked well with CC2015 earlier version (on a dif machine).

This tells me that somewhere between the older and the newer versions - something changed

Actually that only tells you that something with the Wacom driver is misbehaving. It doesn't give you any information at all about the Photoshop side of things.
And Wacom are the only ones that can debug their driver.

I'm far from being an expert but if the Wacom driver isn't changing + works on all versions (prior to a recent release), but the PS software DOES change and malfunctions from a recent release - how's that Wacom driver's problem?
If the issue would be with the mouse would you say the same?

Even so, I'd expect Adobe to deal with it infront of Wacom, rather than us users, since it is a vast and important tool that PS actually counts on

Because the behavior you are seeing is caused by the Wacom driver, which sometimes has application version specific code in it.
The mouse still works, and Photoshop doesn't really know if your events come from the mouse or tablet - it just gets events from the OS.

Yes, you need to contact Wacom and work with them to get this issue solved in their driver code.

I have the same problem. It does work as expected with a regular mouse, but using a Wacom Intuos Pro, it doesn't. I will contact Wacom about this problem.

Tested on Photoshop 2015.1.1 running on OSX 10.9.5 (Mavericks).

Same problem. Newest photoshop, newest wacom drivers - can't select multiple layers from the layers palette. EUGH this is absolutely infuriating because it actually prevents me from using photoshop properly.

Just wanted to chime in as well and say that this issue is driving me crazy too! This needs to get fixed. I'm currently having to try and switch between wacom and mouse to select layers.

This really needs to be fixed soon.

I have and so far there's no reply, why 2 big companies can't talk to each-other to sort it out?? Look at how many people are frustrated, imagine how many more are not saying anything.

Instead of us guessing who needs to fix it, Adobe or Wacom - YOU guys need to do it! (P.S. I told them that too!)

There might be some conflict with the Wacom driver sending modifier keys along with the pressure/click input, and thus making Photoshop lose the multiple layer selection. The funny thing is: why this happens only if a not adjacent shape layer is selected?

And I agree with Aron. Adobe and Wacom are the leading companies in the graphic and web design community. Instead of pushing the problem to each other, they could join together and solve it to make a better experience to their customers.

After some testing I can confirm that it is indeed only happening with Shape Layers. You can have a group of layers selected, and as soon as you try to add a Shape Layer to the selection, it deselects everything else.

Wacom won't issue a response to my messages - Adobe has the power to fix this seeing as it was their update that caused it. Horrible customer service to tell us to file a bug report with a hardware provider when it was the SOFTWARE update that caused this to fail.

Instead of 2 business days, it took 2 weeks to Wacom send me a reply. Tried it and got no success. Still has the problem.

I am sending them this topic to see if we can get something done here.

Dear Leandro,

Thank you for contacting Wacom Customer Care. A restart will be required after installing the driver, please make sure to close a save all your work before following these instructions:

Disconnect your tablet from your computer
Open your Applications folder and locate any Tablet or Wacom Tablet folders you have
Use the Utility in each of these folders and click ‘Remove’ under ‘Tablet Software’
Once the software is removed, restart the computer
Once this is complete, download and install the latest 6.3.15-3 driver from:
http://cdn.wacom.com/u/productsupport...

As always, make sure your tablet is connected directly to your computer. Avoid using USB hubs, keyboard/monitor ports, or docking stations with the tablets, as they can cause inconsistent behavior.

I myself received the 1st reply after 2 weeks. They asked to update the driver.
I sent a message back that it's already updated (I still updated again to be sure, didn't help of course).

Their 2nd reply was today, after 2-3 more weeks. Asking me to install a PSD plugin suitable for for CC2013.
So I've sent a message back that the bug is only happening on CC2015 so this proposed fix (which I did try) is irrelevant.

Let's see what happens next..

Yes, this is a wacom driver issue -- because the same events work with a mouse, and the application has no idea what device the events came from.

We have contacted Wacom - but because of NDAs we can't tell you anything we discuss.

Fair enough Chris, just as long as the 2 companies are talking. It would save a lot of angry comments here if we knew it's happening.
If it'll be possible for you to post a timeframe of expected solution (with their permission), it would help us to relax..
Thank you.

We really just need more people (basically anyone who uses a Wacom and photoshop) to report this above. The only people I have talked to that aren't having this problem are people who haven't updated their Photoshop to the latest version...

Absolutely ridiculous that we should be punished for keeping our software up to date. I have warned the rest of our office not to update their Adobe applications until this problem has been solved. We all use Wacoms and now I have been forced to revert back to a mouse.
