This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Photoshop CC 2019: I have no text cursor/highlight, no bounding boxes, or selection edges working on CMYK documents

the selection "highlight" is not visible - I can hope that I'm selecting by double clicking or dragging the cursor and can make changes but I can't see what I'm selecting

this has happened before - can't remember the fix - this time I removed the prefs.psp file but nothing changed

Hi Megan,

If you click View, is there a check mark to the left of Extras, about halfway down the menu?

Thanks,
David

Is your document CMYK? If you create and RGB document and go back to your CMYK doc, is it visible?

Thank you - I got on the phone with them and ended up unchecking the graphics card box in the preferences - weird but resolved! :)

Howdy Raymond,

Can you talk me through the steps you're using?  Like:
1) launch PS
2) create a new document
3) active the ??? tool...

Thanks,
David

Is your document CMYK? If you create and RGB document and go back to your CMYK doc, is it visible? If so, it's a known issue that will be fixed in the next major update.

@David
Operational steps: Start Photoshop normally -- Create CMYK 300dpi A4 Document -- Use Mouse click the Horizontal Type tool -- Use Horizontal Type to input text in the document -- Double-click text, text can not display the selected state.

My document is CMYK. If I create the RGB document and go back to your CMYK doument, it is visible. Looking forward to the next major update.
