Photoshop CC: Can't save (Windows 8)

Sometimes when I save I get a window that say's "Could not save "filename.psd" because the file is already in use or was left open by another application." This happens when I'm saving a file for the second or third time shortly after creating it, with no other applications open. Any ideas? Thanks.

Do you have any utilities? (antivirus or other file scanners/indexers)

If you restart in Safemode do you encounter the same problem? http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Photoshop is just relaying the error that it received from the OS - so something other than Photoshop really does have the file open or in use.

You may run into problems with the Explorer (if you have that directory visible at the time), a utility program, or sometimes a fileserver holding the file open.

Your input got me thinking. I believe it's Carbonite.
