Can't Save a document, or Save As. No matter is a new one or a opened image file

I have a Macbook Pro 2018 with Catalina 10.15.5, and Photoshop 21.2.0. No matter if a create a new document nor open an image file, I can't Save nor Save As

How far do you get in the process?  Are the save options dimmed from the File pulldown menu or do you get to the Save dialog box?  If it's the latter, double-check that you have write permission for the location being chosen.  If it's the former... I've never seen that.  Maybe reinstall Photoshop.

I suspect your subscription may have expired - or you've installed PS more more than 2 machines . Go to HELP and sign in and then go to manage account if needs be.

It would be great if Photoshop had a read-only mode like Word and Excel do, allowing users to open documents without an active subscription; however, it doesn't'.  There's a grace period (I forget how long) and then the application prompts the user for activation.  If a user exceeds the two activations (it can be on as many machines as you want to put it on), then Creative Cloud should prompt the user to pick a computer do de-activate.
