Can't remove a point from RGB tone curve once it's been added

I can add points to the RGB tone curve and I can move them up, down, left, right, ... but if I decide to remove the point, I can't drag it off the curve to dispose of it.  This was how it worked in LR 5 and I can't see where the removal method has changed, so I've concluded that it must be a software bug.  I tried disabling the graphics processor and restarting LR but that didn't solve the problem.

I'm running OS 10.12.6 on an iMac. I've found this exact defect in LR 6 (6.12) and in the CC version (2015.12).  I had hoped that updating to CC would help but it's not fixed there either.

Unfortunately, I edit very heavily using the tone curve in general as well as the individual RBG channels.  My only workaround is to do my TC edits in LR 5 and then try to finish the job in LR 6 or CC if I need functionality that isn't in LR5.  Since LR5 is so old, it doesn't recognize my Sony a7ii (only my Nikon) and so that adds the additional use of the dng converter!  It's making for a really clumsy workflow.  Not the integrated Adobe environment that warrants a continuing subscription!

Point cursor to the point-
1. Double-click left mouse button, or
2. Click the right mouse button  (Mac is Ctrl+click?)

Thank you, Robert!  That works.  It wasn't how I was taught previously in LR 5 and I would never have guessed this change.  But it works and I'm grateful.
