Can't Open/Save in Photoshop 2015 update. Please Help!

I've reinstalled the app several times and made sure that I am up to date on my system updates. I've restarted the computer--even shut down for a long period. Does anyone know what is happening?

I'm running an iMac with my "about" window screen shot attached.

I start a graphic design job tomorrow and really need to get Photoshop working. Has anyone had any luck getting it to work?

Thanks!

What happens when you select File -> Open?
What happens when you create a new document and select File -> Save?

Hello Chris,
When I select File -> Open, I get the option to click on the file I'd like, however, when I actually press the open button there is a pause with no activity which eventually leads to the spinning wheel. Photoshop never responds and I force quit.

The same goes for saving. I go to File -> Save (I'm not using keyboard shortcuts), I am able to chose location and rename my file, etc. BUT, when I press the save button there is a pause with no activity and then the inevitable spinny wheel and force quit.

OK, that sounds like the OS is hanging for some reason.
Do you know how to sample an app from the Activity Monitor? A sample of the hung app would give us some clues about where things are hanging.

I just looked up how to do it. I had to export as a PNG so it would upload. I hope it's all there.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the issue is.

Thank you!

Ahh, bugger. It only appears as the first page. Is that enough info, or do you need successive pages?

I need to see all of the text. You could zip the file and email it to me (ccox at adobe dot com), along with a reminder about which topic it relates to (I get way too much email).
