Can't open file in Photoshop CC 2015, that I saved on Photoshop CC 2017

I recently saved a psd file at home on Photoshop CC 2017. I then went to class where the most recent version of Photoshop we have is 2015. It will not allow me to open that psd file on Photoshop CC 2015 and gives me an error similar to "File not compatible with this version of Photoshop". I was wondering if there was a way I could convert this psd file to something that would make it work on Photoshop CC 2015? Any solutions are greatly appreciated.

Older versions of Photoshop should be able to open files made in newer ones. You will get a warning if you use a new feature/layer type that file contains Unknown Data, but Photoshop should give you the option to still open the file, but discard the data it doesn't know how to deal with. Could you post one of the files you're having trouble with? (Use Creative Cloud sync or Dropbox to share with a URL here)

Thanks for the help. I tried opening the file at home on Photoshop CC 2017 and turns out one of my layers was corrupted and that is what caused the problem. I deleted the corrupted layer and there is no longer a notification when I open the file that there is a corrupted layer. Hopefully this will fix my problem on Photoshop CC 2015 when I go to class today.
