I just downloaded a trial version of Photoshop and have been trying some tutorials.
I try to go under 'View' to find 'New Guide Layout' or 'New Guides from Shapes' and I don't have that in my list of options???? What's up??

If you launch Photoshop and choose Help>System Info... what version does it say you have installed? (e.g. Adobe Photoshop Version: 2014.2.2 20141204.r.310 2014/12/04:23:59:59 CL 994532 x64)

Thanks for helping Jeffrey!
It says -
Adobe Photoshop Version: 2014.0.0 20140508.r.58 2014/05/08:23:59:59 x64
Operating System: Mac OS 10.9.4

I am on Maverick OS MacBook Pro and just downloaded the 'latest' Photoshop - trial version.
If it is a dumbed down version, they should have said so!
I am deciding if I want to purchase it, why would I go to the trouble of learning a dumbed down version?

Appreciate your help,
Maggie

Hi Maggie,

The trial is full featured.

It looks like you're missing a few updates. If you select Help>Updates... do you see any pending updates?
