LIGHTROOM 2015.5.1 - Can't drag images quickly

I was having sever issues dragging images in all modules of Lightroom 2015.5.1. It was confusing at first because it seemed to work/not work at random and reseting the computer did not help. I eventually figured out that Lightroom required a 0.25sec pause while clicking the thumbnail before registering and allowing the file to be dragged. While the delay seems small, in practice it is incredibly frustrating and the impacts are cumulative timewise.

I recorded a video of this problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvaNMQ8Lhjs

I have watched your video and see clearly what you are describing. I just tested on my Macbook (noticed you are running Windows) and my Win10 machine. I am able to click and drag as fast as my fingers will work - with mouse or trackpad.  Thus, I cannot duplicate what you are describing, either dragging from Grid (or Filmstrip) to either a collection or a blank book page.

There is sometimes a brief delay in showing that I am actually dragging a picture but the thumbnail always appears part of the way in transit.

At this point I would recommend supplying additional system information including your pointing device(s) to see if we can isolate it to particular hardware.

Hi Rikk,

Thanks for the reply. My photography hobby has been a bit MIA recently, so it's been a while since I've used lightroom. The only change to my system that I am aware of since the last time I knew it to be working correctly was the CC update to 5.1. I've just done some tests on Premiere and Bridge and it works absolutely fine, so the bug seems restricted to Lightroom.

My pointing device is a Corsair M40 wired USB mouse.

Below is the system info generated by the lightroom preferences. Please let me know if you require any further information.
