I just installed Lightroom on my computer. My account is connected to my school email because the service is provided by the university. I'm unable to add photos. The 'add photos' button is grayed out, and when I go to File > add photos, that option is also grayed out.

I'm in the exact same situation as the original poster, how can I resolve this problem myself?

Do you have individual IDs or are you getting your Adobe ID via an Education or Corporate license?

Figured it out already, i mistakenly downloaded Lightroom CC when Lightroom Classic is what my school uses. Thank you for your response though!

Lightroom Desktop requires Services to be enabled on your account in order to add photos to the cloud. Please see your school's administrator for the Adobe license to see if you can have services enabled on your account.

Lightroom Classic does not require services.
