I have done what some on others forums have suggested and tried to copy the camera raw .lcp from the library folder to the user library folder but am not getting the profile to show up. where did it go in the first place?

Hello Christopher,

The 16-35mm f/4 lens correction profile was first available in Lightroom 5.6. There was a bug in the profile that prevented automatic matching when enabling profile corrections. It was fixed in Lightroom 5.7 (perhaps later IIRC), so I have some questions for you.

Which version of Lightroom do you have?

Are you using RAW (.CR2) or JPEG? The profile only works with RAW images. If you are trying to apply it to a JPEG, that will not work.

If you are using RAW images, what happens if you first select the image "Make" as Canon? Does the profile show up?

Thanks,

- Chris

Hi Chris,

I am working with LR 5.7 and cannot find the Lens Correction for Canon 16-35 f/4? It does not seem to show up at all and I can't find it in the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader either? What am I missing?

Best, Laura

Hi Laura,

Please confirm you are attempting to apply the profile to a RAW (.CR2) file. This lens profile only works with RAW. It will not work with JPEG images.

Hi Chris, Thanks for the quick reply! I tried with a RAW and can now I find it in the dropdown menu - but only the v1 not the v2? Is the fix also available in LR 5.7?

Thank you!

Hi Laura,

I was wrong about when the v2 profile was shipped. Checked my notes and it was released with LR 6.3. You either need to upgrade to 6.3 or LR CC to get the profile in LR.

Another option is to install the current version of the free Adobe DNG Converter and copy the v2 profile to the shared location where LR can load it.
